MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERE: Chuck Ragan's “You And I Alone” Video has just premiered over at Esquire Magazine.
While there are countless ex-punks who grow up, Ragan never let go of the raw emotion that made him great with Hot Water Music. He is simply channeling it differently. His new album, Till Midnight, isn’t a man going soft, but a man taking Americana-influenced music and making it harder.
In that vein, “You and I Alone,” whose video we’re premiering right here, is a bouncy, raspy jag, an ode to love and companionship, those moments of unity between two people.
Ragan had this to say about it:
"I love to write love songs because it’s the most powerful emotion. It’s what grounds us to this earth and makes us want to fight to make the world a better place."
I’ve infiltrated the SideOneDummy Records offices. They haven’t realized I’m not an employee. I will now search for the plans of Joe Sib’s secret volcano lair.
In reality, mark this as one of the best reasons I love visiting LA. This place rules. (at Side One Dummy Records)
No comment on the volcano lair, but our office is pretty sweet. Thanks for the pic, Josh!

I back this. I know my kid would look pretty sweet in a SideOneDummy T-Shirt size 2T. Lots of SideOneDummy children among staff. This is a great idea. We’ll keep it on the idea train. - @BichoAlex

Sideonedummy carries some great shirts but i would love to see people outside the box design a band shirt
This is a good idea. There’s a lot of talent out there. We’ll keep this in mind for the future. Thanks!
The internet brings forth such beautiful things.
